We're committed to the highest safety protocols, yet transit involves inherent risks. Under these terms, Yost Supply Chain Consulting LLC maintains comprehensive cargo insurance as mandated by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. Limits are strictly defined by the commodity type and declared value on the Bill of Lading. Don't assume full replacement cost coverage without a specific written agreement prior to pickup.
2. Bill of Lading (BOL) Parameters
The BOL serves as the ultimate contract of carriage. It's the skeleton of our agreement. Any discrepancy between the digital freight order and the physical BOL signed at the dock will be resolved in favor of the BOL terms. Our drivers are instructed to verify piece counts, but "Shipper Load and Count" (SLC) provisions apply when the trailer is sealed before our arrival.

3. Detention and Accessorial Charges
Timing is everything in trucking. We provide a standard free time window of two hours for loading and unloading. Beyond this period, hourly detention rates apply. Why? Because a stationary truck impacts the entire supply chain. Our team will notify the broker or shipper immediately when delays occur to avoid hidden costs.
